In maintaining the UK Dividend Champions List, I’ve chosen to measure dividend growth length based on a company’s Ex-Dividend Date using a Calendar Year basis rather than Financial Year. In this post I look at the difference of Financial vs Calendar Year and its impact on the dividend growth history of some UK companies.
I’ve updated the UK Dividends Champions List for March 2015.
One company was promoted to a 13-year Contender from a 5-year Challenger and another company was deleted from the list after being acquired. I also added more fundamental data to each entry.
I’ve updated the UK Dividends Champions List for February 2015. The 25-Year Dividend Champions club gained a new member and now has a total of 7 companies! There are also 5 new Contenders with dividend growth history ranging from 5 to 20 years. Read about the changes below.
Here’s the second part of my whirlwind tour of the Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology sector in the UK exchanges based on dividend paying stocks in the UK Dividend Champions List. This post follows on from Part 1 and covers companies that have shorter dividend growth histories (up to 9 years) as well as a couple that aren’t on the list just for completeness.
I’ve updated the UK Dividends Champions List for January 2015. I’ve added FOUR new 25-Year Dividend Champions, a new 11-year Contender as well as a new 9-year Challenger from my research, plus many Near-Challengers were promoted by the year end. There are a fair number of demotions too – 41 companies have been de-listed due to dividend cuts or freezes!
This post is a departure for me as I usually just blog about the stock purchases that I make so that I can come back and see what I was thinking when I purchased them. But after doing some research for the next version of my UK Dividend Champions List (to be released around 4th Jan), I thought I’d write about some of the companies I looked at. So here’s the first part of my eclectic view of the UK’s Pharmaceutical dividend stocks as a sneak peak at the List update next week.

I’ve updated my UK Dividends Champions List for December. This month’s update adds not one but TWO 25-Year Dividend Champions to the list! In other news, one new 5-Year Challenger, and two new 4-Year Near-Challengers were added based on updated Yahoo data. Read on to find out who they were!
I’ve updated my UK Dividend Champions list for November. One stock was promoted from a Challenger to a Contender and two current Contenders had their history length increased. Sadly one former Contender was retired from the list – read on to find out who and why!
I’ve made some updates to my UK Dividend Champions list for October. There aren’t many changes to the list membership although the stock price & yield data for all symbols is updated as of the market close today and I’ve summarized the changes further below.
